Am 9. September 2021 wurde Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. mult. Klaus Friedrich im Rahmen einer ihm gewidmeten Honorary Session des Festkolloquiums “30 Jahre IVW” posthum mit der Medal of Excellence in Composite Materials ausgezeichnet.
